Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Ottawa, Canada, Jamal Abdullah Assallal held virtual discussions today, Thursday, with Deputy Speaker of Canadian House of Common Bruce Stanton.

The conversations focused on the Yemeni-Canadian bilateral ties and cooperation.

The talks also touched upon the latest developments in Yemen including the recent Houthi militia's military escalations and operations on the governorate of Marib, Taiz and Aljwaf.

The Canadian official affirmed his country's support for the Yemeni legitimate government and the UN-led efforts to make peace in Yemen.
