[28/02/2021 07:46]

ADEN - SABA
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed bin Mumarak received today evening a telephone call from the UN Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock.

They conferred over ongoing arrangements to hold Yemen donor conference 2021 scheduled to be convened tomorrow Monday.

They also discussed the deteriorated humanitarian situations and the suffering of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in Marib governorate amid the ongoing Houthi militia's military operations.

The Foreign Minister called on the UN's agencies and international organizations to act immediately to rescue the lives of millions of the IDPs who found safe shelter in Marib after they had fled their own regions to escape Houthi militia's oppression and atrocities.

Bin Mubarak warned that Houthi violence will generate unaffordable compounded humanitarian, appealing for the relief and humanitarian organizations to increase their interventions in the embattled governorate to meet the increasingly growing needs of the IDPs.
