Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik stated the US administration's decision about the designation Houthi militia a foreign terrorist organization is a constructive move to press for peace and the EU must build upon to push the peace process in Yemen.

His statement came during discussions he held virtually on Monday with the Head of the EU Mission and the EU Ambassadors to the Republic of Yemen.

The conversations dealt with the US administration designation Houthi militia terrorist organization, the practical measures taken by the Yemeni government to reduce potential impact of the decision on the humanitarian actions and the findings of the investigations into the terrorist attack on Aden airport as the government arrived.

The UN-led peace efforts, the EU humanitarian aids and development assistance in the coming period were also touched upon.

The Prime Minister detailed the EU diplomats on the government's top priorities, the ongoing efforts to work out the government's program and challenges it has been facing.

Dr. Ma'een reassured the EU ambassadors that the government is very keen on managing the potential impact of the American designation Houthi militia terrorist organization, citing practical steps have already been made in this regard.
