Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Awadh bin Mubark highly praised the American administration's ongoing efforts to push peace process in Yemen, affirming the Yemeni government's support for the American administration's decision about designating Houthi militia a terrorist organization.

As he held virtual discussions on Wednesday with the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Yemen Christopher Henzel bin Mubark said " The designation of Houthi militia a terrorist organization will practically contribute to mount pressure upon this militia following years of diplomatic efforts have only emboldened the rebels to go further on terrorism and violence which is clearly evidenced in the terrorist attack on Aden airport".

Bin Mubark added" the designation Houthi militia as terrorist organization is due to help curbing the Iranian influence and support for these militias, disrupt inter-terrorist organizations relations and help achieving peace and stability in the region".

The Foreign Minister made it clear that the government is very keen on averting the negative impacts upon the humanitarian situations in Yemen due to the designation of this group a terrorist organization. He stated that the government will coordinate with the US government to take all necessary measures to mitigate the sanctions impacts on the humanitarian and relief actions in Yemen.

The American Ambassador reiterated his strong condemnation of the terrorist attak on Aden airport, affirming his country's support for the Yemeni government, Yemen's unity, stability and security. He stated that the US government will continue to provide humanitarian aids to allay the Yemeni peoples' suffering.
