The Deputy Governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbo Miftah laid today, Sunday, the foundation stone for water project aimed to improve access to safe water services for internally displaced persons (IDP)and the host community in al-Madina District.

Lahj governor, UNPS team discuss new projects in the province

Governor of Lahj Ahmad Turki discussed Monday with the team of the UNITED Nations Project Services' Aden Office headed by Ramsees Younos a package of social developmental projects to be carried out by the office on 2021.

Governor Turki praised intention of the office for carrying out service projects to the people in urban areas in Lahj, hoping expansion of the office services to include project in remote and rural areas.

For his part, Younos made it clear that the office will begin carrying out vital projects, including antit-malnutrition project in 2021 and providing solar energy system in the isolation center for curing corona pandemic at Ibn Khaldoon Hospital.

He added that the office will provide the Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation and the Cleaning Fund of Lahj City with necessary equipment and building main roads in the province and asphalting and lightening them.
