Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

Al-Hadrami, Belgiam Ambassador confer over peace process, Safer tanker

RIYADH-SABA
Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hadrami met Thursday with Ambassador of the Belgum Kingdom to the Republic of Yemen Dominica Mayor.

They discussed the latest developments about the UN-led peace efforts to make peace in Yemen, constructive steps have been taken to put Riyadh Agreement in place and the efforts to handle Safer Oil Tanker problem.

Al-Hadrami voiced thanks to the Belgian government for its interest in Yemen's issue over the past couple of years as Belgium assumed impermanent membership of the UN Security Council, actively contributed to the efforts aimed to resolve the Yemeni crisis and prevent Safer oil tanker potential disaster.

The Foreign Minister touched upon the ongoing efforts to implement Riyadh Agreement. He confirmed the government's keenness to implement the agreement in full, form the government and bring all state's institutions to the temporary capital Aden.

Al-Hadrami stressed on the significant progress realized in implementing the mechanism designed to speed the implementation of Riyadh Agreement and he stated that it is neither normal nor acceptable the continuance of the armed insurgency in Socotra Island.

The Minister stated that the government is looking forward to take firm measures to re-normalize the situations in the Yemen amicable island and reinstate the legitimate government's institutions there to serve the population and maintain the Island's amicability.

The Belgian diplomat affirmed that her country will continue to contribute to the efforts aiming to make peace and achieve political settlement in Yemen.
