Arab Parliament calls on the UN to take urgent measures to repair Safer tanker

Speaker of Arab Parliament Adel al-Assomi called on the UN to take immediate measures to get Houthi militia allow the UN's team access Safer Oil Tanker and conduct the urgently needed maintenance to avert a massive environmental and humanitarian disaster.

In his statement to the Secretary General of the UN al-Assomi called on the International Community (IC) to abandon silence toward Houthi Insurgent militia's intransigence and its rejection to allow the UN's technical team repairing the tanker to prevent un affordable environmental, humanitarian and economic catastrophe in the Red Sea.

The Speaker of Arab Parliament warned of the extremely dangerous state of the tanker that has not been subjected to any form of maintenance since five year and it is risking the leakage of one million and one hundred thousand barrel of oil crude.
