Swedish FM says her country committed to humanitarian support for Yemen

The Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde has confirmed her country’s commitment to providing humanitarian aid to Yemen to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the country.

In a virtual conference with Yemen’s Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hadhrami, the Swedish minister also confirmed support to engaging women in decision making and to women’s causes in general.

The two ministers also discussed the UN’s peace mediation efforts and the Houthi intransigence including in resolving the issue of Safer, a dangerously decaying oil tanker held hostage by the Houthi militia in the Red Sea and threatening aan epic environmental catastrophe.
