The Charitable Society for Social Welfare distributed on Monday grants to 25 women as part of the UNFPA-funded projects of livelihood enhancement in Ataq, the provincial capital of Yemen’s eastern Shabwa province.
Deputy Governor of Shabwa Abdulqawi Lamrook in a speech at the distribution ceremony praised the project for financing income generating handicrafts amongst the women of Shabwa, who still suffer the consequences of the Houthi war and the humanitarian crises it caused.
