Speaker of Arab Parliament Dr. Masha'al Assalami demanded an immediate action by the International Community (IC) to make the urgently maintenance that Safer oil tanker is in need of in order to prevent unmanageable looming environmental and humanitarian catastrophe in the Red Sea.
Assalami sent written letters Friday to the UN Secretary General, Speaker of European Parliament and parliaments' speakers and foreign ministers in the five permanent member states of the International Security Council.
In his letters Assalami called for an immediate international actions to repair Safer oil tanker before it is too late.
The speaker of Arab Parliament held Houthi militia fully responsible for denying the UN's team access the tanker for several months even though the required financial resources are made available.
