Deputy Prime Minister, the acting Minister of Transport, Dr. Salem Ahmad Al-Khanbashi, and the Governor of Mahrah, Muhammad Ali Yasser, inspected today the function of Nishtun Seaport and ways to develop and modernize it.
During the visit, Al-Khanbashi opened a branch office for the General Authority of Maritime Affairs in the port to handle safety and security measures, and regulate work inside the port.
The Deputy Premier and the Governor also made an inspection tour to the dock, the port channel and some of its components.
Al-Khanbashi pointed out that the port of Nishtun represents a great economic importance and has special geographical advantages among the other Yemeni ports and is subject to development and expansion.
