Parliament, presidency's boards informed on efforts of forming new government

The Parliament's and Presidency's boards were acquainted by the authorized prime minister with efforts of current consultations with political components for forming the new government and its priorities.

Commencing the meeting on Sunday, Parliament Speaker Sultan al-Barakani confirmed significance of this meeting with the prime minister for discussing steps of forming the new government and significance of forming it in the defined time, pointing out to integrating efforts for accomplishing all articles of the mechanism of speeding up Riyadh Agreement.

Al-Barakani pointed out that all are responsible as one team beside the prime ministry and the new government and significance of the supporting it by all political parties and working for rescuing the country.

Prime minister talked about results of his meetings with political components saying that the consultations were not limited on forming the new government alone but focused on drawing up its titles and priorities for meeting people's aspirations, pointing out to positive responses and keenness of all on forming a government from competent and qualified officials from all political forces.

He also pointed out to discussions with a number of political components on priorities of the new government led by realizing political stability, enabling the state's institutions in the transitional capital of Aden and unifying efforts for fighting Houthi rebel militia, as well as building security apparatus and realizing security stability and economic stability in liberated provinces.

The government's priorities include also providing public services, relief, partnership with donors and boosting relations with states of Arab Coalition embarking from joint interests and solving the sources of joint threat.

Prime minister stressed the responsibility of all for forming the new government in accordance with the defined timetable included in the mechanism of speeding up implementation of Riyadh Agreement.

The meeting confirmed significance of finalizing consultations with political parties on forming the new government in accordance with the timetable included in the mechanism of speeding up implementation of Riyadh Agreement.

The two boards of the parliament and the presidency showed full support to prime minister for adopting the principle of competency and specialization in forming the new government.

The two boards stressed necessity of including measures for combating corruption in its different forms in the government's priority's list.
