Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabbu Miftah and a team from the Swiss humanitarian NGO, Medair, discussed on Wednesday on the prospects of the NGO's interventions in the eastern Yemen city which hosts three million Yemeni IDPs from Houthi militant-held areas.
Miftah was briefed by the NGO team on the NGO's interest in intervening in Marib and the nature of the assistance provided by the NGO including in the field of health, nutrition, water, education and environmental hygiene.
Miftah on his part gave the NGO team an overview on the hardships faced by IDPs in camps, the continuing arrival of new IDPs from Houthi areas, the local government's contribution and cooperation with international NGOs to improving IDP's life, and other aspects of the matter.
