Council of Ministers condemns Iranian fishing ships hostile acts in the Yemeni territorial waters

The Council of Ministers has condemned the hostile acts carried out by the Iranian fishing ships in the Yemeni territorial waters, including illegal fishing, opening fire on the Yemeni fishing boats and smuggling weapons to Houth insurgent militia.

In its virtual meeting held Monday presided over by the Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik the Cabinet called on the UN and Permeant member states of the International Security Council to condemn such hostile actions and ramp up pressure upon the Iranian regime to stop its practices that constitute encroachments on Yemen's sovereignty and security.

The Minister of Fishery Fahd Kafein reported to the Cabinet about the illegal fishing actions by the Iranian fishing ships western the archipelagos of Socotra and Arabian Sea.

The Cabinet has approved to provide Almaharah governorate with an urgent amount of money to meet the pressing expenditures of the governorate in a respond to a petition brought forward by the governor.

The Cabinet discussed a report by the Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology Eng. Lotfi Bashareef about the Ministry's plans and efforts to relocate the Yemen Telecom Company TeleYemen into the interim capital Aden.
