SP praises British stances in support of Yemen

Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Brakani voiced appreciation for the United Kingdom's supportive stances in support of Yemen, the political leadership headed by President Hadi and the humanitarian and relief efforts.

In a telephone call he conducted with the British Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Michael Aron on Tuesday al-Brakani highly praised the UK's role in contributing to the UN-led peace efforts to reach political solution and establish a sustainable and fair peace in Yemen.

The phone conversation touched upon the latest developments about the situations in Yemen and the implications of the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

The British Ambassador reiterated his country's support for Yemen's security, stability, unity and territorial integrity.

Mr. also stated that it is very important to put Riyadh Agreement into its effects as this is necessary to bring about a comprehensive political solution in the country.
