Houthi Terrorist Militias landmines kill 1104, injuring 1429 civilians in 9 years—Report
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms reported that the Iranian-backed Houthi Terrorist Militias-laid landmines killed 1104 and injured 1429 civilians during the time from January 2017 to March 2026. For material damages, 2414 incidents were reported due to the anti-personnel and anti-armor landmines planted randomly by the militiamen.

PM holds discussions with UN's Envoy, UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs, Representative of WHO

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik held discussions on Friday with the UN's Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths, UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen Lise Grande and Representative of the WHO in Yemen Altaf Mosani.

The discussions which held via videoconference concentrated on the ongoing coordination between the Yemeni Government and the UN's agencies about the action-plans and the efforts to counter coronavirus pandemic.

The deliberations also touched upon the challenges and obstacles need to be addressed and the areas where support is urgently required.

The Prime Minister cited the pressing need for greater support for the government's programs and plans to cope with the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

Dr. Ma'een called on the International Community to support the ongoing efforts aiming to control several pandemics in Aden and other regions.

For his part Mr. Griffiths reiterated that it is very important to reach to an inclusive cease-fire agreement in Yemen and achieving political stability.

Lise Grande stated that there are a package of medical aids will be provided in the coming period.

The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Najib al-Aweg contributed to the discussions.
