Al-Brakani informs Friedric Ebert Foundation about Houthi militia's violations

Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Brakani met on Thursday with the President of Friedric Ebert-Stiftung (FES) and a number of senior staff.
Al-Brakani provided a brief presentation about the Houthi militia's violations and atrocities against the Yemeni people. He cited the arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances and abduction against politicians, journalists and activist, child recruitment and violations of women rights.
Al-Brakani stated that the population of the city of Taiz have been beisged by the militiamen for five successive year and some 25 thousand families have recently been displaced from Aljawf governorate.
He also touched upon the latest developments about the situations and UN-led peace efforts were reviewed.
The Speaker of Parliament voiced appreciation for the constructive role of the FES in Yemen.
