Deputy Health Minister for Primary Healthcare said Yemen "is free from Coronavirus up till now.
In a statement to Saba, Ali al-Waleedi on Tuesday said a range of measures have been taken by the ministry "in preparation for any emergencies."
He dismissed the claims that Yemen is going to receive foreigners infected with the virus are "just rumors."
He called on mosque preachers and the Education and Sports sector in the country to contribute to raised awareness among the public about the plague.
