[19/02/2020 09:07]

RIYADH-SABA
Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik has said Iranian blatant interferences and its continuous support to Houthi militia prolong the conflict in Yemen and hinder UN's efforts for realizing peace and ending Yemeni people's suffering.

In his meeting with German Ambassador to Yemen Carola Muller on Wednesday, he pointed to Iranian violations to Security Council's resolutions on Yemen, especially those regarding providing Houthis with weapons in a blatant violation to international community's resolutions.

He pointed to the Iranian recent weapons shipment sized by US Marines while in its way to Houthi militia, expressing aspirations for German and European Union's role to stop these interferences and exporting destruction and chaos to Arab countries.

The meeting dealt with latest developments in Yemen and efforts of the government for normalizing conditions and alleviating suffering of the Yemeni people in accordance with Riyadh Agreement and demanded international support in this regard.

It also dealt with continuous Houthi military escalation in a number of warfronts and rejection to implement Sweden Agreement sponsored by the UN to double its war against Yemeni people and complicating humanitarian suffering.

Abdulmalik renewed keenness on just and permanent peace in accordance with the three agreed upon references and the government's concessions for realizing peace and faced with Houthi rejection, calling on international community to press the militia to submit to political solution.

He expressed thanks to German's government and its keenness on ending the war and supporting peace track.
