Deputy Prime Minister Salem al-Khanbashi inspected Monday services provided by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology across Yemen.

Presiding a meeting for the ministry's leadership, including Yemen Mobile Company and Adennet Company, al-Khanbashi was briefed by Minister Lutfi Basherief on the activity of the ministry and expansion of telecommunication projects, as well as efforts exerted for facing problems of internet blackouts.

Basherief confirmed cutting off internet marine cable in Suez Channel was behind cutting the net services in Yemen, adding that the cable is being repaired.

He pointed out that Houthi mismanagement of the telecommunication institution complicated the problem and that three out of seven outlets have been damaged over the war triggered by the militia.

He reviewed a number of strategic projects are being carried out by the ministry for improving telecommunication services to cover all provinces.

Al-Khanbashi confirmed political leadership's care of strategic investment projects like Adennet project.
