Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barakani met Thursday here with the Ambassador of the EU to Yemen Hans Grundeberig.
The session intended to discuss bilateral ties between Yemen and the EU as well as the latest developments in the Yemeni national arena.
Al-Barakani cited practical steps and measures have been taken to implement Riyadh Agreement, highly appreciating the efforts have been made by the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to put the agreement in place.
Al-Barakani touched upon the e Yemeni peoples' humanitarian suffering due to the atrocities and arbitrary measures of Houthi rebel militia, the most recent of all is banning dealing with the Yemeni national currency banknotes.
Al-Barakani noted that the Houthi militia refused to carry out its obligations under Stockholm Agreement, specifically about Hodeidah agreement.
For his part the EU diplomat stressed the importance of implementing Riydadh Agreement, affirming that the International Community is opposing the measures have been taken by Houthi militia.
The MPs Showqi Shamsan and Abdussalam Adhabali were in attendance.
