PM urges doubling down efforts to speed up reconstruction drive

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik advised redoubling efforts to accelerate the pace of the reconstruction campaign." The efforts need to be doubling down in order to establish the major projects that will have tangible impacts upon the people's living conditions", said Ma'een.

His remarks came as he presided over a meeting Monday in the interim capital Aden included the senior officials in the Ministry of Public Works and Highways.

The session aimed to discuss the investment program of the Ministry for this year, action-plans and top priorities in the upcoming period.

The discussions also touched upon the joint coordination with the SPDRY in the two sectors of roads and public works.

The difficulties facing the work in progress on some projects were also discussed.
