Minister of Education, Dr. Abdullah Lamlas, discussed with representatives of the UNESCO, the UNICEF and WFP the possibility of financing the establishment of an information network for the minitry.
It was agreed to choose and install a server system based on which the the network will be implemented.
This network (server) will serve as a base for the Ministry's data and information collected from annual school surveys on the number of students, the textbooks, school equipment and other information that must be communicated on time.
The possibility of linking the control room (server) of the Ministry of Education with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology was discussed, provided that the server is capable of adding any new inputs to meet the needs of the ministry and all organizations in the future.
