Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-RabbuMiftah, along with the General Director of the City Mohammad Farhan, inspected Thursday implementing five water and sanitation projects in the city.
Worth USD 1.1 million, the projects are financed by the fund of the Office of Coordinating Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen (OCHA) through Building Foundation for Development.
Miftah inspected the ongoing work in implementing al-Jufaina Water Project targeting up to 5000 displaced families from different provinces. The project, which includes building a 200-cubing meter tank, costs USD 230 thousands.
He inspected also Arroudha Water Project, the first phase, which includes a 200-cubic meter tank and prime network with the length of 45 KM and worth USD 280 thousand and inspected water prime and branch network at al-Salam neighborhood with the length of 13 km covers 550 houses.
Miftahand Farhan also inspected the Emergency Sanitation Project in Marib, which consists of sanitation unit receives 300 cubic meter daily and a sanitation carrier line with the length of 1700 m, in addition to building service facilitations. The project costs USD 450 thousand.
He inspected the ongoing work in implementing the first phase of sanitation project to displaced people's camp near Community College. The project is about to be implemented fully during the forthcoming weeks.
The project costs USD 70,000 and include sanitation unit include 800 cubic meter.
Miftah was detailed by Director of the General Corporation for Water and Sanitation in Marib Hussein bin Jalal and the Head of Building Foundation for Development Dr. Abd-Rabbu Nasser on the projects specifications and levels of accomplishment.
