Lahj Governor, Roads Fund sign three- project agreement

Governor of Lahj Ahmad Turky and Vice Chairman of the Board of Roads Maintenance Sami Bahormos signed Monday contracts of three road projects within emergency maintenance to roads inside Houta City.

The contracts include carrying out maintenance work of the southern entrance to Houta with the length of 1.4 km in four months, maintenance work of al-Tarbia Road, 400 m in three months and al-Siyaha Street with the length of 350 m to be carried out in three months.

The three projects are financed by Roads Maintenance Fund and Lahj Local Authority and carried out by the Ministry of Public Work and Roads.

During signing ceremony, Governor of Lahj confirmed significance of the projects of maintenance work of main and internal roads in the province for alleviating suffering of the people over damaged roads.

For his part, Bahormos made it clear that the projects come in response to directives of President Hadi and Prime Minister Ma'eenAbdulmalik for improving roads in liberated provinces.
