U.S. Treasury Sanctions 21 Individuals, Entities for Involvement in Financing Houthi Militias
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

PM orders quick action against dengue fever spike in Taiz

Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik has ordered for quick action to be taken against the widely spreading dengue fever in the government-held city southwest of the country.

In a meeting with the governor of Taiz Nabeel Shamsan, Abdulmalik ordered the governmental authorities to address the pileup of garbage in the city, fix other environmental irregularities, and support healthcare centers as a way of addressing the endemic seeing a seasonal spike in the densely populated city.

The talks went over the rehabilitation of the city's southern road of Hayjat Al-Abd as the only lifeline for the city subject to Houthi militia's siege from all other directions for five years now.

They also discussed uniting the security and military authorities, addressing job duality in the military and civilian payrolls and ensuring the commitment of security forces to their duty lines to safeguard the city's population.

Abdulmalik indicated that that the Riyadh deal covered the arrangement of the security situation in the government-held territories in what unifies the security aspects under the command of state institutions and promotes the capacity of central and local authorities.

He also hailed the sacrifices of the people of Taiz in defending the republican system in the face of the Iran-backed theocratic militia of Houthis.
