The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidaroos al-Zubaidi received today, Saturday, in the temporary capital Aden, the Libyan Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Edris Ahmed Abu Bakr.

Governor Socotra RamziMahrous discussed Monday with members of the National Committee to Investigate Alleged Human Rights Violations situations of human rights in the province.
Mahrous confirmed keenness of local authority on protecting citizens' rights in the province and protecting the province' flora and fauna and the sovereignty of the state here.
For their part, the members of the committee; Hussein al-Mashdali, JehadAbdulrasoul, Sabah al-Alawani and Ishraq al-Maqtari made it clear that the committee follows up changes affecting human rights in Socotra, including environmental rights making Socotra one of the most important protected islands and has become one of significant UNESCO's International Natural Heritage List.
The committee pointed out that the republican decree regarding protected areas bans any acts harming these areas and these acts have been criminalized by the Law No. 26 for 1995 on protecting environment and international accords on protecting world heritage.
The committee visited DaksamNatural Protected Site and investigated constructions affecting it.
