The national Mine Action Center, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs office and the Comprehensive Services Center in the interim capital Aden launched on Saturday a campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of landmines and UXOs.
The 40-day campaign, with the support of UNICEF, is involving more than 80 volunteers from civil society organizations in Aden, to spread awareness about the types and dangers of mines and how to deal with and keeping away from them.
The campaign, which targets more than 68,000 citizens, IDPs and school students from all districts of Aden, includes the distribution of promotional leaflets and posters in schools
