Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barakan sent cable of congratulations to his Tunisian, Omani and Emirati counterparts on their elections.
He congratulated Rashid al-Ghanoushi for being elected as Speaker of the House of Representatives in the Republic of Tunisia and congratulated Khaled al-Ma'uali on his election as Speaker of Shura Council in the Sultanate of Oman.
He also congratulated SaqerGhabish on his election as Speaker of the Federal National Council in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
