Up to 850 landmines, explosive devises destroyed in Aljawf

The National Program for Demining (NPD) and Saudi Project for Demining in Yemen (MASAM) managed to pull out, dismantle, collect and destroy 850 landmines, unexploded ammunitions and explosive devices.

These amount of landmines and explosive devices planted by Iran-backed Houthi militia in different parts of the northern region of Aljawf governorate, namely the districts of Khap and Asha'af.

The Director of the NDP brigadier general Ameen al-Aokeili told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that 420 anti-armored military vehicles landmines, 30 explosive devices, each one 50kg and 400 unexploded ammunitions had been destroyed.
