Yemen, Arab and Muslim Nations Reject Somaliland Move to Establish Mission in Occupied Jerusalem
Yemen and several Arab and Muslim countries have denounced the announcement by the self-declared Somaliland region regarding the opening of what was described as a diplomatic mission in occupied Jerusalem, calling the move unlawful and a clear breach of international law and relevant UN resolutions governing the status of the city.

PM receives UK ambassador to Yemen

Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik discussed Monday with UK Ambassador to Yemen Michael Aron latest developments in Yemen including Riyadh Agreement signed between the government and Southern Transitional Council.

The meeting touched upon commitments included in the agreement and importance of implementing them on defined timetable and making Yemen's supreme interest above all other interests in preparations for realizing the inclusive peace and stability in accordance with the three internationally agreed upon references.

Prime Minister confirmed government's keenness on implementing the agreement, thanking Saudi leadership for sponsoring it.

Riyadh Agreement is a breakthrough to Yemeni people's aspirations for peace and stability and establishes an active government in addition to correcting military and security situations and unifying efforts for ending Iran's agenda in Yemen, said Prime Minister, pointing out that the agreement will help build active partnership for fighting terrorism and extremism.

He praised British role for supporting legality and Yemeni people and UK activities towards realizing just and permanent peace under the three references, the GCC Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.

For his part, the UK diplomat congratulated Prime Minister for signing the agreement, pointing to Saudi active role for sponsoring the agreement as significant step for inclusive peace in Yemen.

He confirmed his country's support for implementing the agreement and showed readiness to provide technical aid for implementing it.
