Yemen, EU discuss latest developments

RIYADH-SABA
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad al-Hadhrami discussed Monday with Ambassador of the European Union in Yemen Hans Grundberg latest developments in Yemen and boosting relations between Yemen and the EU.

Al-Hadhrami pointed to President's directives to all state institutions and apparatus to imminent implementation of Riyadh Agreement, confirming that the agreement represents significance step for unifying fronts and correcting the track against Iran-Houthi agenda in Yemen.

The government of Yemen depends on international community for implementing the agreement, said al-Hadhrami, who praised the Saudi role for supporting and guaranteeing implementation of Riyadh Agreement.

He confirmed also the significant role of the EU as basic partner in UN peace process and in humanitarian and development efforts in Yemen.

For his part, the EU ambassador confirmed readiness for providing necessary support for making Riyadh Agreement successful, expressing aspirations to work from the transitional capital of Aden in the near future to support the government.
