NEW YORK-SABA
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad al-Hadhrami discussed Thursday with the UN Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths latest developments on implementing Hodeida Agreement, especially withdrawal from the city and its ports by Houthis.

The two parties also discussed topics regarding local forces and government's former initiative of opening Sana'a Airport for local flights.

Al-Hadhrami warned of delay and allowing Houthis to fail the agreement, confirming that the topic of the security forces and local authority in charge of keeping the security of Hodeida and its ports is the key for accomplishing progress in implementing the agreement.

Al-Hadhrami renewed keenness of the government on realizing peace on the bases of the three agreed upon references, the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216 and the international community to press for this as the government does not expect those who breached former agreements will abide by the following ones.

He made it clear that the continuous Houthi nationalistic claims and trading with many issues concerning citizens like food assistances and Sana'a Airport must end and must be faced.

For his part, the UN envoy confirmed commitment to continue his efforts for implementing Stockholm agreement and keenness on continuous consultations in this regard, expressing hope for working with the government in all issues on the table.
