Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hussein Basalamah, on Tuesday discussed with Chinese Ambassador to Yemen Kang Yong renewing an old cultural cooperation agreement and increasing cultural exchange scholarships.
Basalamah praised the Chinese embassy for Yemen for its continuous communication facilitations and contact with the rest of the Chinese embassies in a number of countries, especially in the Sultanate of Oman, to urging them to offer facilitations for Yemeni students to obtain visas to China where they pursue higher studies.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador affirmed his country's continued support to higher education for Yemenis including by granting scholarships to Yemeni students in a number of areas of specialty.
