Yemen's Cabinet has approved new regulations governing official overseas travel and participation in international events, a move aimed at tightening oversight of foreign engagements, curbing unnecessary spending and improving coordination across government institutions.

Electricity, gas problems in Mareb discussed

Deputy Governor of Mareb Abd-Rabbu Miftah presided over Monday a meeting with district directors and representatives of Electricity Corporation and Safer Company discussing with them issues concerning securing people needs of power and cooking gas across the province.

Miftah confirmed keenness of local authority on providing basic services to people in all districts.

He pointed to difficulties and challenges facing the local authority, executive offices and service institutions in the province for securing basic services to locals and displaced people in all districts due to increasing demand over influx of hundreds of thousands of displaced people from different provinces.

The meeting approved applying cell system for electric consumer in districts and areas where the power will be launched during celebration of the two revolutions; September and October.

Urging consumer to pay the bills, Miftah directed district directors to cooperate with power corporation and gas facility for improving the services and providing them to all people in their different districts easily.
