RIYADH - SABA
Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Dr. Mansour Bajjash and Japanese Chargé d'Affaires to Yemen have discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the efforts of the Yemeni government towards reaching peace with the Houthi rebels.
Bajjash said the government would confront all the armed rebellions including that of the so-called Southern Transitional Council militia, while being committed to answer the Saudi call for participation in dialogue with the separatists.
Bajjash appreciated the Japanese government's non-voting on the UN Human Rights Council's decision to extend the mandate of the Group of Imminent Experts on Yemen. He also invited Japan to join with other countries in opposing the politicization of the Yemen human rights matter at the UN.
