Info Minister: STC militia will be held to account for hate motivated murders
[02/09/2019 08:58]
RIYADH-SABA

Yemen's Information Minister said on Monday the Southern Transitional Council (STC) separatist militia will be held to account for the hate-motivated murders they had committed in south Yemen over the past days.

"These terrorist crimes documented in video clips exhibit the ugly and destructive agenda this militia is meant to implement in south Yemen," said Muammar al-Eryani.

He said, "They are war crimes the accountability for which won't be time-barred." The Minister said the facts and figures still coming about these acts of physical elimination and abuse are appalling and the UN Security Council, the UN peace mediator in Yemen and human rights organizations should do something to stop these atrocities and protect the civilians in Aden and Abyan provinces.

The UAE-backed militia surprised the internationally recognized government with a bloody rebellion in August 11 and evicted it from the two provinces.
