The Ministry of Public Health and Population participated in the World Health Organization's first regional meeting on primary health care held in the Egyptian capital Cairo today.
The meeting, chaired by WHO Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, Dr Ahmed Al-Manthari, discussed achieving comprehensive health coverage, evaluating comprehensive health information systems for three countries and measuring the extent to which they have successfully covered primary health care.
Dr. Dina Al-Mashhari, Director-General of Public Information and Research Department at the Ministry of Public Health and Population, pointed to the Ministry's efforts to implement the comprehensive information system in the near future and to provide primary health care services at the rural and urban levels.
