Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabbu Miftah inaugurated a center for child protection and family guidance in the eastern Yemen city on Thursday.
The center, an affiliate to the Ministry of Social Affairs, is being funded by the UNICEF with YR 60 million to cover its overhead expenditures for three months. It consists of a management room, a training hall and a child friendly space.
The center will also offer craft acquisition training for women to empower women earn living and improve their families' quality of life, which will alleviate the suffering of hundreds of families fleeing the Houthi militia's crackdown in western and northern provinces.
