WFP's development projects in Yemen discussed

Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Othman Mujalli discussed Thursday with Director of World Food Program David Beasley efforts of the program in relief field for tackling humanitarian situation in Yemen.

In the meeting held on the sidelines of the 41st Round of FAO held here, the two parties confirmed significance of commencing sustainable development projects in Yemen based on producing food, supporting agricultural sector, social insurance networks and improving agricultural communities and local production.

Mujalli praised WFP's humanitarian work and its clear position towards Houthi militia violations through briefings made by the director of the organization in the UN Security Council, disclosing Houthi militia's acts of hindering humanitarian activities.

Minister Mujalli discussed mechanism and ways securing arrival of food assistances to people in need.
