Yemen participated in the International Trade and Food Safety Conference organized by the World Trade Organization in Geneva today.
Yemen's delegation was headed by Minister of Health and Population Dr. Nasser Baoom
In a speech, Baoom stressed the importance of increasing attention to the management of food safety risks and the smooth flow of world food trade, pointing out that Yemen is looking forward to benefit from the outcomes of the conference in developing food standards and facilitating and coordinating food safety regulatory frameworks.
The two-day forum will address trade-related aspects and challenges of food safety and the challenges and opportunities arising from rapid technological change and digitization in food systems.
