Demonstrators call for completing liberation of Taiz from Houthi rebels

A massive demonstration organized by the Unionist Popular Nasserite Party in Taiz has called for serious and urgent move to complete the liberation of their city from Houthi rebels besieging the provincial capital for nearly four years.

Large numbers of protesters took to the city's streets on Saturday to demand an end to the Houthi barbaric war and siege and renewed their loyalty and support to the government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

In a statement, the demonstrators urged the people of Taiz from all stripes to stand beside Taiz governor to complete the city's liberation, revitalize the state institutions, fix the irregularities in the institutions and afford services to the public.

They also called for rebuilding the military and security institutions based on nationalistic and professional principles.
