The chiefs of appeal courts in the liberated provinces held their first consultative meeting in the interim capital Aden today and discussed the situation of courts and the role of the Justice Ministry in revitalizing them.
Minister of Justice Ali Haitham al-Ghareeb, the moderator of the meeting, praised the support of His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik for revitalizing the work of the courts and approving the annexation of Judicial Police to the Ministry of Justice.
He pointed to the complementary relationship between the judicial and security authorities and to the plan to continue the work to overcome the setbacks and difficulties in the road to serving justice.
The Minister called upon the heads of the appellate courts to follow up with judges to expedite the adjudication into lawsuits at hand so as to lessen the burden on people as a result of the crowdedness of lawsuits.
