The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) held a meeting today, Tuesday, chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council. Yemen participates in conference on fighting marine crime in Sri Lanka

Yemen participates in the Conference of Fighting Marine Crime and Protecting Submarine Cables in Indian Ocean- commenced its activities here on Monday- with a delegation headed by Commander of Coast Guard ForcesGeneral Khaled al-Qamali.

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) invited Yemen to participate in the conference.

The participants discuss in the two-day conference plans for protecting submarine cables and studying legal issues based on the UN general agreement on marine law.

On the sidelines of the conference, General al-Oamali discussed with commander of Sri Lankan coast guard forces and the Head of theUNODC cooperation and support to Yemeni coast guard forces in field of training and qualification.
