HR Minister says Houthi militia still circumventing around Stockholm Agreement
[18/03/2019 02:50]

GENEVA-SABA

Minister of Human Rights Mohammed Askar said that three months after the signature pof the Stockholm Agreement between the government and the Houthis, the coupist militia are still circumventing around that agreement.

Addressing a seminar organized by Yemen's Human Ministry and permanent mission in Geneva, he said the militia are refusing to implement it and are rather continuously violating the ceasefire and obstructing the first stage of troop Redeployment provided for in the Agreement. "Since the UN declared the truce on 18 December 2018… the total breaches by Houthis amounted to 1943," he said.

He said the militia had also worsened the humanitarian crisis of their creation by shelling the grains warehouses in Hodeida and destroying 25% of the country's grains inventory which would meet the need of three million people.
