Alyemany, U.S. Ambassador discuss situations in view of UNSC's session
[14/03/2019 02:44]

RIYADH-SABA
Foreign Minister Khaled Alyemany held session with U.S. Ambassador to Yemen Mathew Tuller.

The meeting aimed to discuss the latest developments about the situation in Yemen in light of the closed consultation session held on Tuesday by UN International Security Council (UNSC) about the Yemeni crisis.

Alyemany said" The International Community (IC) has come to clearly understand that putschist Houthi militia is the spoiler party of the implementation of Stockholm Agreement, and the Yemeni government has demonstrated enough flexibility to save Stockholm Agreement due to President Hadi's interest in peace".

The Foreign Minister stated that the Yemeni government won't take any step toward more consultations or negotiation unless making progress in implementing the redeployment plan.

For his part, the U.S. Ambassador voiced concerns about the developments following the UNSC's recent session which clearly points out to the obstruction to the implementation of the redeployment plan and Stockholm Agreement.

Tuller stated that the (IC) is jointly talking about the importance of implementing Stockholm Agreement as it is the only single way to build confidence and reach a comprehensive solution based on the three well known terms of reference.
