Minister of Justice Ali Haitham Al-Gharib emphasized the importance of promoting joint Arab action in security fields and enhancing cooperation and coordination among Arab states in the fight against terrorism and organized crime.
Addressing the 36th session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council on behalf of the Interior Minister in Tunisia Sunday, he said stressed the need for all Arab states to stand together in supporting Yemen, rehabilitating its security capabilities and developing the skills of its security personnel so that the country regains its leading role within the Arab security system.
He pointed out that the Yemeni anti-terrorism forces and the Arab Coalition have dealt severe blows to the terrorist groups in Hadhramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj and Marib, and have been able to destroy their property. He noted that the Houthi militia fighting the government for years has a close relationship with terrorist organizations.
