Dammag, U.S. Officials discuss countering Illicit trafficking of Yemeni antiquities

Minister of Culture Marwan Dammag along with Yemen's Ambassador to Washington Ahmed Awadh bin Mubark met here on Sunday with a team of U.S. National Security officials charged investigating into illicit trafficking of antiquities and cultural properties.

The session devoted to discuss cooperation and coordination about countering smuggling and illicitly trafficking of items of the Yemeni antiquities and cultural heritage.

Separately, the Minister of Cultural also met with officials of the American Government's Treasury. Conversations aimed to explore possible measures that Yemeni government desire to be adopted to help prevent transactions in the Yemeni antiquities in the U.S.A.
