Minister of Public Health and Population, Nasser Baoum, and the Governor of Aden Ahmed Salem Robaye'a inaugurated a project to supply solar power to the Republic General Hospital, which will be implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in cooperation with the World Bank.
The project operates 264 solar panels with a generating field of 60 kWh and 240 batteries with a capacity of 4000 amp at a cost of $ 250,000.
The project will provide the necessary electrical power to the dialysis center in the hospital.
Robaye'a along with the Director of the Public Health and Population Office in the province of Aden, Dr. Jamal Khadabekhsh, also inaugurated a similar project to power the obstetric healthcare center in Seera district in the city, at the funding of UNOPS and the WB.
