The Republic of Yemen participated today, Thursday, in the discussions of the Second Conference of Transport and Communications Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries, held in Istanbul, Turkey.

Chief of Staff meets with head of UN team of moniters

General Chief of Staff (Lt Gen) Abdullah Annakha'ee met on Sunday in the temporary capital Aden with the head of the UN's team of monitors lieutenant general Michael Anker Lollesgaard.

The session which included the government's team in the committee charged Redeployment in Hodediah governorate devoted to discuss the latest developments in the governorate.

General Annakha'ee stated that the government is very keen on peace that based on the three well know terms of reference, highlighting the need for greater efforts to reach binding agreements contribute to facilitating access of relief aids to the people in need, establishing security and implementing Sweden Agreement.

He confirmed that government's troops are ready for secure redeployment as stipulated by Sweden Agreement.
The Chief of Staff stresses the importance of prioritizing tasks and carrying out in accordance to timescale .

The government tem headed by Maj. General Sagheer bin Aziz cited the outcomes of previous meetings, problems and difficulties created by Houthi militiamen to get around off implementing the Sweden Agreement.

For his part, general Lollesgaard present suggestions to put the Stockholm's Agreement in place and action-plan for redeployment in Hodeidah and isolated areas that will secure safe routes for relief aids and humanitarian actions, which will be set in-between the two sides and will be controlled by international forces, he hoped his suggestions to be endorsed by the two parties.
